Commenting on the Justice Secretary's visit to an ambulance depot to highlight alcohol abuse over the festive period, Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson Ross Finnie MSP said: "Emergency staff have the right to carry out their work without fear of assault at all times and especially over the festive period.

"From now through Christmas and the New Year the message is simple, no violence, drink sensibly or don't drink at all!"
