Liberal Democrat Finance spokesperson Jeremy Purvis challenged the First Minister to explain why his government has taken over two months to reply to a Parliamentary Question about which quango bosses will not be receiving bonuses this year.
Commenting, Mr Purvis said:
"It has taken now more than two months for the Government to reply to my question asking what responses they received from quango and agency bosses to a request by John Swinney for them not to take bonuses this year.
"I was due an answer on 24 November, but the First Minister today said that I haven't received an answer because the Government hasn't received replies to the letter. This beggars belief. We have had to resort to Freedom of Information requests to all the public bodies as this seems to be the only way around the government either being unable or unwilling to get a grip on the issue."
